This weekend against the CMS Crows at home, please join us in congratulating and celebrating Chris Flavel as he plays his 200th Senior Game for the Kadina Football Club. Chris is currently a vital member of our A Grade leadership team. We congratulate him on achieving this milestone! 

Today up at Port Broughton some of our U'11 boys played in the carnival! Coach Will Schultz took to boys to just the single win for the day, but lots of fun was had! Well done all!

Wishing all the best to Giles Ellis today in the SANFL Country State Team. The team will take on WA at 4.05pm at Adelaide Oval! Goodluck Giles!

A massive congratulations to our very own Giles Ellis who will be representing the Central Zone at the Think! Road Safety SA Country Football Championships this weekend. The team plays up at Whyalla over the weekend and will play the different zones across South Australia. Goodluck Giles! 

Down in Adelaide this weekend we also had our netball girls representing the Yorke Peninsula on the Netball Courts! Congratulations to (L-R) Mackenzie Neumann, Mackenzie Wood, Morgan Phillips, and Hayley Lockwood!

The Yorke Peninsula were the Champions of 17 & Under Div 2 and 15 & Under Div 3! The 13 & Under team were undefeated all weekend until the Div 1 Semi Final. Well done Girls!

In the first game the boys had a close loss going down by 2 points to the Northern Areas Football League 4.3 to 4.5. Griffyn Hansen was named best player. In the second game against the Northern Eastern Football League the boys secured the win 7.3 to 3.0. Mitchell Cunningham was named best player displaying some excellent kicking skills.

Congratulations to Griffyn Hansen who was named best player for the Yorke Peninsula side! Griff played in the ruck for both games and showcased his craft winning the hit outs.

A massive Congratulations to Jack Elsworthy who was named Best Player of the day for the Yorke Peninsula Side! Jack played in the back lines and showed his normal composure under pressure. Well done Jack!

Nutrien Ag Solutions Cup 2022 - Seniors

Congratulations to our Senior Boys who represented our club in the Nutrien Ag Solutions Cup. Giles Ellis captained the side to finish second overall for the day. In the first game the Yorkes defeated Northen Areas 7.6 to 1.0 taking them into the Grand Final. Unfortunately in the Grand Final the Yorkes were defeated by the North Eastern Football League by 5 points going down 3.7 to 4.6. Well done to all!

Congratulations to Mitch Cunningham (left), Griffyn Hansen (middle), and Bradmyn Nelson (right) who were selected for the association team. A massive congratulations also to Griffyn who has also been named as Vice Captain of the team! The team’s first game is on Saturday 11th of June at 9:45am at Port Broughton. Goodluck Boys!!! 

Round 8 - Tackle Your Feelings Medalist Jordan Serle 

In Round 8 Jaydn ‘Sweet Pea’ Brind also played his first game for the Kadina Bloods. Congratulations and welcome to the Bloods Family!

A big congratulations to Angus Poole, Jake von Bertouch, Jack Elsworthy, Giles Ellis and Taj Kleinig who all were chosen to represent our club in the association side. The boys will take on Northern Areas, Adelaide Plains, and North Eastern Leagues at Port Broughton on June long weekend! Well done boys!

Congratulations to Brendan ‘2K’ Cock who played his 50th game for the Bloods this weekend! Brendan plays down back and is a vital part of the well oiled machine of the back 6!

It’s Volunteers Week and it means we especially recognise and thank our volunteers who work year round to help keep our club running! Here’s to our legends, game day wouldn’t be the same without you!

Yesterday we had two new players pull on the red and black jumpers for the Kadina Football Club for the first time. Just before the A Grade yesterday, we had a special presentation held inside the changerooms with Kadina Junior Colt Tex Neumann presenting the new jumpers to Jordan Serle and Matt Chapman.

We are excited to announce that we will be participating in the Tackle Your Feelings mental health education program this season.

Tackle Your Feelings is a free mental health training program for community clubs like ours.

It’s vital that community football clubs create an environment that prioritises mental health, especially given the challenges we’ve faced in recent years.

The details of the session are as follows, and I ask that you make yourself available to participate:

DATE: Monday 30th May 2022

TIME: 7.00pm

VENUE: The Kadina Football Club.

The program includes a workshop delivered by a local psychologist, plus online learning, and it aims to help participants gain the tools to Understand, Recognise and Respond to signs of mental ill-health in our people.

You will also have access to the “Coaches Box”, which is a library full of mental health resources.

STEPS:

Step 2 – Use the interactive map to book into our session

Step 3 – Attend the Tackle Your Feelings face-to-face workshop at our club (90mins)

Step 4 – Complete the Tackle Your Feelings online training - choosing either the junior, youth or adult stream (3 x 20mins modules per stream)
